COMPANY HISTORY
Harris Moving & Storage Company, Inc. was founded in 1939 by
George E. Harris, George G. Harris, Joe Greve and William S. Elkins.
In 1946, Harris Moving & Storage became an agent for North American Van
Lines and continues that association today, giving us access to a network of
over 1000 quality agents worldwide.
In 1957, a new facility was built just northwest of downtown Houston which
provided over 80,000 square feet of warehouse and storage space. This
multi-level facility has been well-kept and maintained and is still the major
portion of our facilities today. Over the years, additional warehouse space
has been built and purchased to bring our total capacity to over 100,000
square feet of covered and conditioned storage space.
Our storage services include automobile storage, records storage, household
furniture storage, office furniture and equipment storage, high value
products and general merchandise storage.
Today, Harris Moving & Storage Co. provides both basic and specialized
moving services to individuals, hospitals, universities, churches and
companies, both large and small.
